How Do You Use A Solar Generator? Solar generators are designed to be plugged into a solar powered inverter which will then connect to your electricity system and supply electricity to the entire house utilizing solar panels. The solar generator system functions as the “power plant”, which is located where the solar panels are attached to your roof. The generator is now your power.  Step 1: Connect the two main solar outputs (the inverter and a breaker box) to the two main breakers on the circuit. (Solar Panel Output should run to the Outlet in the Panel box. Generator Output should run to the Breaker Box).

Step 2: Connect the one Main Input to the D-Box. Connect the Main “Inverter” or “Power” output (as mounted on the inverter) to the Main In (the red IN) in the D-Box. You may have to go to the D-Box and change the setting from “Inverter” to “G”. Generators are always inverter or G-Power.

Step 4: Connect the two lines (1 & 2) from the D-Box to the two lines from the Generator.

Step 5: Connect the System B terminal in the D-Box to the Ground Terminal’s corresponding terminal on your generator. Please remember this terminal is not in the panel but out of view at the
